The Rainier Club Laureate Award

As a part of The Rainier Club’s mission to engage business, civic and creative leaders, the Rainier Club Laureate Award honors annually a creative professional with ties to the Pacific Northwest. A Rainier Club Laureate is recognized for his/her notable achievements in visual, literary and performing arts. This award grants each Laureate recipient with a Rainier Club membership for life.

2016 Laureate

In October, The Rainier Club recognized Peter Boal, artistic director of the Pacific Northwest Ballet as its 2016 Rainier Club Laureate.

For more than four decades, Peter Boal has captured the hearts of millions around the world, both on and off the stage. After dancing nearly 40 ballets throughout his 30-year career with the New York City Ballet, Mr. Boal took the helm of one the nation’s most elite ballet companies, the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Under his direction, the Company continues to uphold the Balanchine dance tradition while introducing bold new works to captivate a continually growing and diverse audience.

The Rainier Club honors and celebrates Peter for his ongoing inspiration and commitment to spreading the art of ballet.
